IELTS and PTE preparation that targets your weakest band

Most test takers repeat the whole test when only one skill is holding the score back. We diagnose which band is costing you, then work on exactly that.

  • Diagnostic across all four skills before any coaching begins
  • Writing marked against the official band or score descriptors
  • Speaking practice with recorded feedback on fluency and pronunciation
  • PTE computer-scoring strategy, which differs sharply from IELTS
  • Honest advice on how many weeks your target score realistically needs

We identify the skill holding your score back, free.

Why repeat attempts often do not move the score

A test taker who scores well in listening and reading but stalls in writing does not need more general English. They need the specific thing the writing band descriptors reward: task response, coherence, lexical range and grammatical accuracy, in that order of impact for most candidates.

So we start with a diagnostic across all four skills, identify the band that is dragging the overall score, and spend the coaching time there. That is usually the difference between another attempt at the same score and an actual improvement.

Writing

Task 1 and Task 2 for IELTS, and the summarise and essay tasks for PTE, marked against the official criteria.

Speaking

Recorded practice with feedback on fluency, pronunciation and developing answers rather than stopping short.

Listening and reading

Question-type strategy, skimming and scanning, and managing the clock.

IELTS or PTE, and why it matters

The two tests reward different behaviour, and choosing the wrong one costs weeks. IELTS speaking is assessed by a human examiner and rewards natural, developed conversation. PTE is computer-scored and rewards clear, steady pronunciation, consistent pace and precise task completion, and it returns results faster.

Realistic timelines

Half a band or its PTE equivalent is achievable for most candidates within four to eight weeks of focused work on one skill. A full band, or lifting from 6 to 7 across every skill, typically takes a term of consistent effort. We tell you which situation you are in before you book a test date.

Frequently asked questions

Should I take IELTS or PTE?
It depends on how you perform under each format. PTE is computer-scored and rewards clear, consistent delivery and fast results. IELTS speaking is a conversation with an examiner, which suits candidates who are comfortable talking naturally. Our free diagnostic covers both so you can choose with evidence rather than guesswork.
How long does it take to improve by one band?
Half a band with focused work on one skill is commonly four to eight weeks. A full band across all skills usually takes a term of consistent effort. Anyone promising a full band in two weeks is selling you something.
Do you mark writing against the official criteria?
Yes. You write under timed conditions, we mark against the band or score descriptors, and you receive specific feedback on which criterion is limiting you and how to lift it.
How much does IELTS or PTE coaching cost?
Sessions are 49 dollars per hour, or 440 dollars for a ten-lesson package, which suits a typical preparation block. The first diagnostic is free.
Can you help if I have already taken the test several times?
Yes, and previous score reports help considerably. They show exactly which skill has plateaued, which is where the coaching time should go.
Do you guarantee a score?
No, and be wary of anyone who does. Results depend on your starting point, the time you put in and the day itself. What we do commit to is telling you honestly whether your target and your timeline fit together.
