Assignment details
This assignment provides an opportunity for students to reflect on modern organizational concepts, problems, and challenges, applying concepts and frameworks covered in this unit to solve such problems. You will explorethe management approaches of an entrepreneur from Australia and then compare and contrast with an entrepreneur of a similar company from outside Australia (e.g. India, Nepal,Africaetc.)Thisgroupassignmentensuresthatstudentsnotonlyresearchandunderstandthe management practices of their chosen entrepreneurs and companies in different contexts, but also critically analyse and reflect on these practices, providing a comprehensive learning experience.

Task2:Management Styles’ Comparison
Compare the management styles used by the two entrepreneursinTask1(A)andTask1(B)by answering the following questions:
- How do the cultural dimensions of Individualismvs.Collectivismand Power Distance differ between Australia and your selected country, according to Hofstede's model?
- What implications might these differences have for business practices,management styles and organizational culture in each of your chosen companies?
- Provide examples of effective management practices you perceive from each of your two chosen entrepreneurs.
- Arethereanycommonstrategiesoruniqueapproachesusedacrossthetwochosencompanies?
- Basedon your findings,recommend the management approach you would adopt asafuture manager or entrepreneur? Provide clear justifications for your answers.
Task 3 :Analysis and Reflection
Each member will reflect on what they learned from this assignment,by each answering the following question:
- Discuss how your team collaborate dand managed the workload to complete the assignment.
- Address any challenges face dand resolved during the assignment.
- Share personalinsightsor changes in perspective gained from this assignment.

- It is very important for students to also use the ideas and theories discussed in the unit to make these comparisons.
- You should choose at least 3 other theories that have been studied in the unit and use them tomakethecomparisons,e.g.inLecture2theunittalksabouta‘scientificanalysis’ofworkas suggestedbyFWTaylor.Thediscussiontalksabouttheeffortandimpactthatmanagersshould maketoachieveefficiency.Studentswillbeexpectedtodiscusstheapplicationofascientific approach in their selected home company and compare this approach to the Australian company. (100 words per theory, total 300 words).
- It is very important for students to also use the ideas and theories discussed in the unit to make these comparisons.
- The group is expected to comment upon the impact to their home company, and Australian company by adopting,ornot adopting the manage menttheories selected,e.g.isIndiaamore efficient economy because job roles are/are not analyzed from a scientific perspective?Are they more effective than for exampleMcDonald’sworkersin Australia whose job behaviours are very scientifically analyzed and dictated? (600 words)
- Task3:Each member will reflecton what they learned from this assignment(100wordseach, total 400 words)
- A summing up statement summarizing the above plus a statement of the overall satisfaction and experience gained as a result. (100 words)
