The individuals who work in a variety of community settings and in the homes of their clients to provide instruction and support to individuals with disabilities are the target audience for CHC43115 Certificate IV in Disability.
At some point in the future, it is possible that workers will be required to supervise and/or coordinate the efforts of a more concentrated team of workers. Because of the COVID-19 crisis, it is currently only accessible online, and it is the responsibility of the students to make their own arrangements in order to complete the required 120 hours of work placement. This is done to ensure that the students’ well-being and safety are not compromised. This credential cannot be obtained until the student has first finished anywhere from six months to a year’s worth of required coursework, all of which must be completed online. Because this is a self-paced course, the amount of time spent studying by each student will be different and will depend on a variety of factors, one of which will be the amount of free time that the student has available to them at any given point in time.
The Community Health Council will award the student with the CHC43315 Certificate IV in Disability if they are able to complete this course with flying colors and earn a passing grade.
Students will be given an Attainment Statement that details the Units of Competency that they have successfully completed if they have completed enough of this qualification to earn a portion of their diploma. This statement will be given to students after they have completed enough of this qualification to earn a portion of their diploma. Within ten business days of the completion of a qualification, electronic versions of all certificates, records of results (listing units that have been completed), and statements of attainment are issued. These records include the units that have been completed.
During their time on work experience, students are expected to keep a logbook and complete any assignments that have been given to them. Students have the opportunity to put into practice what they have learned in the classroom through participation in an internship. Every student is required to finish a Working with Children Check and earn a passing grade on it before they can start their work placement. This requirement must be met before the student can begin their work placement.
Students may be asked to provide a copy of their National Police Record prior to the start of their work placement, depending on the specific requirements that have been outlined by the hosting provider. This request could be made before students begin their work placement. During the course of the orientation that is provided for the class, the students will participate in, they will obtain additional information concerning the work placement experience as well as the requirements that are associated with it.
