Assessment Description

The student groups are required to develop a business proposal containing the following information:

1. Description of the business concept,
2. Complete description of products or services that will be sold,
3. Target market, and
4. Location of events and points of sale, sales methods, advertising methods/ locations This Report provides your group with the opportunity to write are flective feasibility report for an innovative business opportunity that you and your group have identified during the study of this unit.

The main resource for the subject is the library for research which is provided online through the Moodle page.

Assessment Instructions

You are required to prepare a group report based on the following requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:

Part A: (25 Marks

Each group should provide a prospective name of the innovative business you are planning to open(maximum 4 students per group).

Part B(20Marks)-Presentations will be held during Wk11and Wk12 on Campus

Prepare professional PPT summarizing the main points and be ready to present your findings in the class. Each group leader must divide work among the team members for presentation purpose. The Group Presentation will be in Weeks 11& 12( Additional information concerning presentation schedule will be provided in the class).Submit your group PPT slides on Moodle before presentation in the class.

Your submission must adhere to the following requirements (Part A: Group Report)

A typical formal business plan may include:

• Detail soft he product or service
• Assessment of the market opportunity
• Identification of target customers
• Barriers to entry and competitor analysis
• experience, expertise and commitment of the project team(put it in a
• tabular format)
• strategy for pricing, distribution and sales
• identification and planning for key risks
• cash-flow calculation, including break-even points and sensitivity
• Lessons Learnt
• Recommendations
• Conclusions
• References

Use Headings and Sub-headings so that the document looks professional.

Your research should include sufficient references-minimum 10 (Harvard Style) from multiple sources, including company analyst reports, news articles, and academic journals

Deliverables

• Group reports and presentation slides. The reports and presentation slides must be submitted to the link provided in Moodle by Week 10, Friday (14/11/25) at11.59pm. AEST One submission per group is allowed.
• Group presentation: The presentation is conducted in Week 11 week 12, in class with the order of the presentations determined by your tutors. All group members must present. Time limit: 15 minutes max

Group assessment is about Teamwork

ALL team members must contribute fairly. Students who are NOT contributing fairly will be at risk of receiving zero marks or marks adjusted in accordance with his/her contribution.

This assignment is also a great opportunity to learn from each other interactively. The groups will need to make a critical analysis of the successful cases and critically self-reflect upon your individual learning though providing positive inputs to set up a joint entrepreneurial venture with innovative ideas.

• Your Group Report must be written: in a professional manner so that it is clear and concise using headings and sub-headings.
• You must reference using the Harvard Referencing style.
• You must submit your assignment on Moodle on or before due date.
• Extensions will not be granted except for medical reasons in accordance with the policy
